Ten Grand - The Comprehensive List of Everyone Who Has Ever Done Anything Wrong to Us

This is quite possibly one of the coolest screamo concept albums I've ever heard. There's this computerized voice in the background, reading off people's names, including "The Get Up Kids" and "The Asshole That Stole Scott Lawrenceson's PlayStation." The real reason to listen to this album, however, is undoubtedly Matt Davis' vocals. Sadly, he died at the age of 24 of a heart attack.

Cool little note about Ten Grand's name: Ten Grand was originally named The Vida Blue, however another band of the same name, featuring some guy from Phish, offered the band $10,000 if they changed their name.

Krallice - Dimensional Bleedthrough

Highly anticipated new album from one of the few black metal bands I can stand listening to nowadays. It's more of the same stuff, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Kind of Like Spitting was an American indie rock band. They formed in 1996 in Portland, Oregon. The band was led by prolific singer-songwriter Ben Barnett, who has drawn comparisons to Elliott Smith, Mark Eitzel, Billy Bragg, and Robert Polard.

I first listened to Kind of Like Spitting around two years ago, but back then I was still too into Ceremony, Trash Talk, and Trapped Under Ice to really "get it". Then, a few months ago, I found "You Secretly Want Me Dead" and listened to it on loop for the bulk of that week. The most accurate way I can describe his sound is to imagine what Elliott Smith would have sounded like, had all of his songs been written about heroin, but instead written about heartbreak.
